تبحث هذه الدراسة في جوهر الصّمت بوصفه فعلا شائكا ومعقّدا، يتجاوز حدود المنطوق واللفظ الصّريح للتّعبير عن المعنى إلى دوائره الإمكان والتأويل والاحتمال. وهو ما سيتم تبسيط القول فيه انطلاقا من استحضار مقاربات قدمت الصمت كظاهرة بالغة التّعقيد، وتم الحرص في الإبّان على التّفصيل في شروط ارتباط الألفاظ والخطابات بالمعاني الصّامتة والضّمنيّة، خاصة تم تقديم محاولات لإنارة عمليات الفهم منتبهة إلى أنّ جوهر اللغة يمكنه أن يتحقق وفق مستويات مختلفة ومتنوعة. وتم التنويه بأن الخطاطات الذهنية تتصل اتّصالا مباشرا باللّا منطوق. والإشارة أيضا إلى فكرة جوهريّة مفادها أنّ الفكر البشري محكوم بمنطق داخلي قوامه الصّمت باعتباره قولا بالغياب. كما تبحث هذه الدراسة في العلاقة التّلازميّة بين الصّمت والكلام وآثاره في اللغة، ومن جهة أخرى تعمد هذه الدراسة إلى تفكيك حضور الصمت بوصفه فعلا إدراكيا يفتقد إلى الهويّة. وبينت في موضع آخر مركزية الصمت في اللغة فضلا عن كونه طاقة كامنة تقود إلى الحجاج.

Abstract: This study investigates the essence of silence as a complex act and as a thorny issue that transcends the boundaries of spoken and explicit language to explore the potentiality and interpretation of meaning. The study draws on theoretical approaches that have presented silence as a complex phenomenon, and that have carefully examined the conditions that relate words and discourse to silent and implicit meanings. It also draws on those approaches that have attempted to critically study the cognitive processes and emphasised the fact that the essence of language can be realized at various levels; the approaches that argue that mental schemata are directly connected to the non-spoken and that human thought is based on the belief that silence speaks louder. The study also considers the relationship of interdependence between speech and silence and their impact on language. It seeks to investigate the presence of silence as a cognitive act that lacks ‘identity’. Additionally, this research study reveals the centrality of silence in language and its power in driving argumentation.
