مستخلص:يتضمّن هذا المقال قراءة في رواية “دفاتر الوراق” للروائي الأردني جلال برجس (2020). وترمي هذه القراءة إلى استجلاء ملامح التّمثيل السّردي لواقع الميتروبول العربي من خلال ما يتخلّله من تصاديات على مستوى المضامين الثّقافية. وهو تمثيلٌ يتراءى من خلال المداخل التّعبيرية التي يسمح بها الفن الروائي. وهي مداخل متعددة نعمل هنا على انتقاء بعض منها عبر مواقع قرائية تفرضها المقاربة السيميو-ثقافية المعتمدة على مستوى منهج التحليل. وتلتقي هذه المواقع في كونها تحاول الإجابة عن إشكالية تتمثّل في كيفية تمثيل الرّواية لهذا المضمون الثقافي الجديد الذي شغل الرواية المعاصرة، وطبيعة الأسئلة والمآلات الإنسانية التي يعمل الفن الروائي على إضاءاتها والإنصات إليها عبر ذلك. وعليه فإن هذه القراءة تتعقّب كيفية تمثّل الذات السردية المهمّشة للمركز الميتروبولي، إضافة إلى قراءة الترميزات التي تفصح عنها لغة الفضاء العمومي وما يتخلله من مدلولات ثقافية، مع تتبّع الصورة العامة لملامح العالم الثقافي داخل فضاء الميتروبول وما يتخلّله من أنساق سيميائية فرعية تحمل دلالات قوية على بداية تشّكل وجود ثقافي طارئ تستتبعه الرواية بالتفكيك والمساءلة.

This article presents a reading of the novel “Dafatir al-Warraq” (The Bookseller’s Notebooks) by the Jordanian novelist Jalal BARGES (2020). This reading aims to elucidate the features of the narrative representation of the Arab metropolis reality through the contradictions that arise at the level of cultural contents. This representation is revealed through the expressive perspectives allowed by the novelistic art.
These perspectives are multiple, and we will select some of them through reading sites imposed by the semiotic-cultural approach adopted at the level of the analysis method. These sites converge in their attempt to answer the problematic question of how the novel represents this new cultural content that has occupied the contemporary novel, and the nature of the human questions and outcomes that the novelistic art seeks to reveal and listen to them.
Thus, this reading follows how the marginalized narrative self represents the metropolitan center, in addition to reading the codifications that the language of the public space reveals, along with its embedded cultural significations. This involves tracing the general outline of the features of the cultural universe within the metropolitan space and the sub-semiotic systems it contains, which carry deep connotations on the formation of an emergent cultural presence that the novel deconstructs and interrogates.
