مستخلص:ان النزاع حول قرية الغجر ليس مجرد نزاع أكاديمي، بل ينطوي على آثار عملية كبيرة ومستمرة. وهذا ما يبرر ضرورة تحديد الوضع القانوني للقرية بوضوح من خلال قرار دولي او حكم قانوني دولي موثوق. قضية قرية الغجر تتجاوز النقاشات النظرية في القانون الدولي. فمع مرور الوقت، تطوّر السياق الدولي وخاصة بعد تطورات الحرب على غزة التي اتسعت لتشمل الحدود اللبنانية مع فلسطين المحتلة وعاد الحديث عن المناطق المتنازع عليها بما فيها قرية الغجر ولمن تعود ملكيتها؟ هل تعود إلى سوريا أم هي لبنانية؟ مما جعل التقسيم بين لبنان والكيان، بما في ذلك قرية الغجر، غامضًا بسبب وضعها المادي والديموغرافي الحالي. ومع ذلك، لا يزال المجتمع الدولي يركز على القرية، لا سيما وأنها تقع بالقرب من الخط الأزرق، أي خط وقف إطلاق النار بين الكيان ولبنان. ومن الأهمية بمكان ألا تؤدي الإجراءات التي تتخذها الأمم المتحدة وقوة الأمم المتحدة المؤقتة في لبنان (اليونيفيل) دعماً لقرار مجلس الأمن 1701، الذي يدعم سيادة لبنان وسلامة أراضيه، إلى المساس بالحقوق المشروعة لقرية الغجر ومستقبلها.

The dispute over the village of Ghajar is far from a theoretical or academic matter; it carries ongoing and profound real-world consequences. This underscores the necessity of clearly determining the village’s legal status through a credible international resolution or legal particularly following developments in the Gaza war and the spread of hostilities to the Lebanese-Palestinian border, the issue of contested territories has resurfaced — including the question: To whom does Ghajar belong? Syria or Lebanon?
The village’s physical and demographic reality has made the border demarcation between Lebanon and Israel increasingly unclear. Despite this, the international community continues to focus on Ghajar, primarily due to its proximity to the Blue Line, which represents the ceasefire boundary between Israel and Lebanon. It is crucial that any actions taken by the United Nations or UNIFIL in support of Security Council Resolution 1701 —, which affirms Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity — do not come at the expense of the village’s legitimate rights and future.
